Not only is the Theatre of McDaniel College haunted by Harvey, it is also said to be haunted by Dorthy. Dorothy Elderdice was a woman who gave much to the theater. There is a plaque of her in the Green Room. The rumor is that she cries blood if a show is bad. This is a very silly story but sometimes, a person can hear footsteps of an old woman in high heels walking down the hall past the Green Room.
This story reminded me of a ghost story we have in Williamsburg---
ReplyDeleteI forget the exact story, but it's something like she found out her husband was cheating on her because she found a red heel in her room. So she was running down the stairs to chase him out of the house and she tripped and died falling down the stairs. The ghost rumor is that if you put a pair of red heels on the doorstep her ghost will come out!

ReplyDeleteI experienced the ghost of Dorthy. I got into the service elevator to go up but mysteriously went down only for the doors to open into an empty and locked costume shop. No one there to request the elevator.
